Had a few questions about competing and plans for next year and I’ve not known how to answer them. .. I did a RIDICULOUS weight cut to drop to u63kg in a short amount of time and it wasn’t healthy for my body or mind. I became absolutely obsessed with weighing myself, sometimes 2-3 times a day. The reason I took up this sport is because it was fun and I didn’t have to look a particular way. .. The effects of the weight cut have played on my mind ever since (and they still are). For me, I class anything above 63kg as unacceptable and ‘fat’. Not weighed myself for a couple of weeks so I don’t know where I’m currently sat but it’s a few kilos over, nothing drastic but the number staring back at me makes me feel big and bloaty. .. Progress and body image shouldn’t just be measured on the scales but it’s a hard association to break. .. Between now and April, I’ll train for the Midland’s Strongest Woman events and see what happens. No rush, no pressure. Just training a sport that I love. .. 💙🏋🏻‍♀️🖤🏋🏻‍♀️💙🏋🏻‍♀️🖤🏋🏻‍♀️💙 . #strongwoman #strongmantraining #strongmanmotivation #strongman #girlswhostrongman #girlswholift #girlswholiftheavy #girlsthatlift #fitchick #bodyimage #bodyconfidence #actionshot #doingwhatsrightforme
